We listen, act, and transform
In 2005 the National Aliance of Mental Illness awarded me their "Excellence in Mental Health Therapy" award. I was one of 10 chosen for my master's program to be taught by psychiatrists. Over the years of practice, I have developed sensible, doable, and effect strategies to help many individuals and couples work through their struggles and begin to thrive. I would like to help you.
I have been counseling individuals and couples for more than 20 years in Cincinnati, Ohio. I believe the answers lie within the individual who is struggling. I am the person who helps you sort out the chaos or lift the fog of emotional distress. Together we create a reasonable, practical and doable plan to help you work through your distress.
I have worked in a hospital setting, community settings and medical centers prior to going into private practice. During my career I have treated patients from all socio-economic, educational, and cultural backgrounds and all ages, successfully. I have learned much from these patients and environments. I have great respect for where my patients are in their moment of distress and will graciously help them progress through to some form of resolution at their pace. I believe this has allows me to be successful with all populations and all venues.
I have trained master's level student to help them earn their LISW license. I remind them that the master's degree is the beginning. I encourage them to learn from their patients.
I love people and their stories, for which I have great respect.
